In this upcoming article, you are going to read a review about the movie named ‘’Don’t Worry Darling’’ and it was directed by Olivia Wilde who also directed ‘’Her’’ & ‘’In Time’’. There are 12 performers but two of them are the most prominent ones. Harry Styles and Florence Pugh. In addition, the director herself also performed in the movie as the character Bunny. The movie is placed in a real world but there are some complications that are caused by the futuristic technology. The movie is a kind of thriller and mystery, but we observed it as a type of utopia/dystopia movie.
The plot of this movie is about a housewife who lives in a town that is owned by a company, and she starts to suspect that there is a secret being kept from her and all the other residents. She starts suspecting that her husband, as well as other husbands, know this secret and they are in it with the man who runs the company. While the idea behind the movie is actually attention-grabbing, it was produced in a really messy way and could be so much better.
To begin with, when the cast of this movie was first announced, it was really promising as it had Florence Pugh and Harry Styles were starring in it, as well as Olivia Wilde, Gemma Chan and many more incredible actors and actresses. The only good thing about this movie is the performance of Florence Pugh, and that is pretty much it. At times, Chris Pine also displays a charming but untrustworthy company-owner, we can't say the same thing about Harry Styles. Even though at the beginning, Styles' acting looks great and he is as charming as he always is, when the plot starts to escalate and the drama gets heated, we are pretty much reminded at every scene that Harry Styles is not a trained actor, and he struggles to go along with the vibe of this movie.
We would like to state that we would not finish this movie if the colors and effects in the movie were not as vivid and dominant as they were. Scene colors were set perfectly to us. Although this perfectly arranged visual side, the acting was insufficient, and our concern is that the topic was spent for nothing with this insufficient cast. In other words, if the movie had included better actors and actresses, it would be easier and more joyful to watch this movie.
To conclude our review, while this movie is obviously not the best movie ever made, it is still something watchable if you have time and want to see Florence Pugh at her best. In addition, you can enjoy the color palette of the movie with the beautiful cinematography of it. And no matter how bad his acting is, who can say no to seeing Mr. Harry Styles on the big screen for 2 hours?
Here is the trailer of the movie :)
